Norman’s Vieux & Associates helps clients around the country predict flooding – VIDEO
NORMAN, Okla. — Vieux & Associates, based in Norman, is using innovative technology to help cities like Austin, Texas, predict catastrophic flooding.
The engineering firm, founded in 1992, is headed by Baxter and Jean Vieux. The couple and their 10 employees are based at the University of Oklahoma on its South Research campus.
They are working to help cities warn and brace their residents for impending flooding. With a system of algorithms that tap into weather radar and other pertinent information, the Vieux team can help predict future storms and flooding patterns.
