GPEC realizes record-breaking year, attracts 6,200 jobs

PHOENIX – The Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) helped locate and expand 32 companies throughout its 22 member communities last fiscal year which ended June 30.

As those companies add more than 6,200 jobs throughout the Valley, they will generate an anticipated payroll of more than $330 million with average salaries approaching $70,000. The estimated regional capital investment is expected to be almost $900 million.

The sectors represented by the new companies include tech and financial with some companies even relocating regional headquarters to Phoenix.

GPEC has helped to bring more than 630 companies to the Valley since 1989, adding more than 110,000 jobs and $12 billion in capital investment. To learn about doing business in Greater Phoenix, visit the GPEC website.
