Indianapolis named an up-and-coming tech city
INDIANAPOLIS — According to a new study by employment website ZipRecruiter.com, Indianapolis is one of the nation’s up-and-coming tech cities. The Indianapolis and Carmel areas were ranked sixth on the list based on their many nearby universities, low cost of living and quality of life as well as the availability of jobs for java developers, infrastructure architects, operations managers and net developers.
ZipRecruiters based its rankings on cities with job growth that offered a low cost of living, nearby universities for tech talent recruiting and research resources, and a continuous sources of entry level employees. Overall, Austin-Round Rock, Texas, Raleigh-Cary, North Carolina, Provo-Orem, Utah, Fort Collins-Loveland, Colorado, and Hartford, Connecticut were ranked ahead of Indianapolis.
