New Mexico research labs win R&D Mag awards

Sandia National Laboratories has won four and Los Alamos National Laboratory has won three of the 100 R&D Magazine 2012 awards for proven technological advances.

Sandia won for the ultra small neutristor computer chip, an air bearing heat exchanger, microsystems-enabled photovoltaics and nucleic acid libraries for ultra-high-throughput sequencing.

Los Alamos won for uranium technology UTurn, valveless laser processing and DNA analyzing Sequedex.
